I studied Medicine at the University of Auckland and completed a Bachelor of Human Biology and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.
I remained in Auckland and worked as a Junior Medical Officer before moving to Melbourne in 2011. I completed my specialty training through the Austin and Northern Hospitals as a Consultant Physician in Acute and General Medicine.
Through my training I gained extensive experience in general medicine, cardiology, respiratory, infectious diseases, nephrology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, obstetric and peri-operative medicine.
I moved to Sydney in 2017 and completed further training in Obstetric Medicine and Endocrinology at the Prince of Wales Hospital and the Royal Hospital for Women.
As a Consultant Physician I specialise in Internal Medicine, seeing the patient as a whole rather than a single condition or entity. I work closely with your general practitioner, surgeon and anaesthetist to provide you with the best possible care.
I consult in a wide range of medical problems including:
- Patients with multi-system disease
- Hypertension
- Heart failure
- Renal disease
- Thyroid problems, diabetes and osteoporosis
- Respiratory problems
- Peri-operative medical assessment
- Pre-existing conditions or medical conditions that arise in pregnancy
